Ashen Empires is an MMORPG designed to run on low-end machines; all the art is sprite-based. On this project, I was primarily the Art Director- although, since we were such a small company, I was also a full-time artist. I also did a lot of in-game customer support, on the side.
All of these images are of monsters and NPCs I created for Ashen Empires. Since AE is a sprite-based program, the models are higher-poly than I usually work in, and don't generally have texture maps- instead, I used procedural textures as much as I could. This is nowhere near the number of characters I created for the game- these are just a small fraction of the total.
